Dating for Lawyers

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-03. Draft pending counsel review before public launch.

Plain-language summary first. Dating for Lawyers (“D4L”) never sells your data, runs no ad trackers inside the app, and never scans faces or collects biometrics.

What we collect and why

Partners (only if you opt in)

At sign-up there are separate, optional, unticked boxes. If you leave them unticked, nothing about you leaves D4L. If you tick one, we share only your name, work email, city and (if you added it) practice area with that partner, for these purposes:

We never share photos, gender, orientation or preferences, date of birth, messages, likes or matches, personal email, bar number or verification documents. Turn either box off any time in Settings; we stop sharing on the next daily update and tell the partner to stop contacting you.

Retention

Security

Encryption in transit, application-level encryption of work email and bar number, private storage for photos and documents served only through short-lived signed links, and two-factor authentication for staff.

Your choices

Access, correct or delete your data from the app, or email our support address. Members outside Illinois may have extra rights under their state's law; contact us and we will honor them.
