We verify that every member is a licensed lawyer using their own good-standing document and work email. That is not a criminal background check, and no verification makes meeting a stranger risk-free.

Dating safely

• Profiles can be faked, even here. Verification lowers the risk; it doesn't remove it. Use caution.
• Don't share your last name, home address, workplace or financial details early on.
• Never send money or financial information to someone you met online.
• Meet in a public place for the first few dates.
• Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
• Arrange your own transportation to and from the date.
• Trust your instincts. You can unmatch, block or report anyone, any time.

Tools you always have

• Unmatch ends a conversation for both of you.
• Block from any profile or chat: you'll never see each other again.
• Report from any profile or chat. Reports are confidential, you won't see that person again, and a person on our team reviews every report within 24 hours. Repeated reports pause an account automatically while we review.
• Hide me from colleagues is on by default.
• Snooze hides your profile without deleting anything.

Intimate images shared without consent

If an intimate image of you is on D4L without your consent, use our takedown request form (no account needed). We remove valid requests within 48 hours, along with any exact copies.
